Want to hear what blown up infinity 6030's sound like?

So um, black coils, split in a couple places and all because i gave them 120 watts and they are rated at 90. They really never distorted,Just gave up. It was clean power too.

here is a pic, it's hard to get a clear shot of the coils but the black stuff is coil.

try using the macro function on the camera

Yes, they sound pretty good just hooking them to an amp but if you toss the passive crossovers and run the mids and tweets seperate with active crossovers and do a bit of e.q.'ing and cut the power to the tweets they sound a lot better. I high passed the mids at 75hz and low passed at around 4k, and high passed the tweets at 4k too with a slight gap in frequency to reduce overlap.

I prefer the polk db tweeters to the infinity's, they sound less compressed. The polk db 5 1/4's don't quite have the same definition as the infinity mids did but they do the job. Thats why it was mixed and matched like that.
