Kidd_Bass Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 I recently swapped out my stock HU for a alpine then suddenly after playing it for about a week ,one day while I was driving my music just turned off the HU was still powered up but there was no music coming out of my speakers and subwoofer (the whole audio system is still stock) Now I know what most of you are going to say check your wiring but I know I connected everything correctly and secured it with solder and shrinking tube so then I though it was the actual HU so I reconnected the stock one and there was still no sound. I then checked all of my fuses and they are all just fine. I am truly at my wits end with this can someone please help

Msg4lifesucka Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 So the head unit "seems" to work fine? powers up fine but no sound at all? try taking apart the harness, while its plugged in, take apart one speaker lead and check if any signal is coming out of it. If not, the unit is faulty

I just recently replaced that amp because It blew in like 2001 and I never replaced it until this year but when the amp wasn't working the speakers still worked
