STEvil
Have you checked your ceiling joist spacing? It's usually 16" on center. 18's won't fit without boxing the joists like you would for a large skylight, and you might get a lot of flex from the motion of the drivers if you skimp on the framing. Also, consider a hardware cloth cage in the attic to keep rodents from gnawing on everything. Build a vertical "tunnel" which exits into the room below. Good for easy servicing and allows easy changes to the setup without redoing your ceiling every time. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. beaker
The biggest thing about an IB setup is the baffle, its all about the baffle. You want it thick enough to seperate the back of the speaker from the front in terms of vibration. The only reason an IB would ever sound bad is if it was designed poorly where the rear sound waves caused cancelation from the front.
