Indian Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Hi, i am just posting this to see if anyone could possibly direct me to a member that will caculate and draw up a box design for one JL 10" W3. Im working with a Subaru WRX hatch and a Massive N3 Nano 1400watt amp. hit me back with suggestions on members or if you are one that can do the design we can talk about a price. I am wanting to get the most and best sound out of this subwoofer, soooo yea , Thanks.
Joe X Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Ok assuming you have the 10w3v3-4 your amp will deliver 450W to the sub, up to rated power here is a suggestion: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 33 Hz Vb = 1.39 ft^3 External Height = 12.5 in External Width = 23 in External Depth = 15 in Port Width = 1 3/4 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: Top & Bottom = 23 x 15 Left & Right Sides = Side 1 = 13 1/2 x 11 Side 2 = 14 1/4 x 11 Front = 20 1/2 x 11 Back = 23 x 11 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 11 3/4 x 11 Extension = 14 1/2 x 11 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): If you have the 2 ohm version let me know, also engage your subsonic filter to 27Hz. Any other questions also let me know.

Actually i thought i was going to sell my other 10 " W3 but i have decided to keep both and i only have 41" inches of external width to work with . but if it could be the same design as the one above with the port in front and sub up top that would be great.
Joe X Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 That can also be done: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 33.5 Hz Vb = 2.2 ft^3 External Height = 12.5 in External Width = 37 in External Depth = 14.5 in Port Width = 2 3/4 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: Top & Bottom = 37 x 14 1/2 Left & Right Sides = 13 x 11 2x Front = 17 1/8 x 11 Back = 37 x 11 Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts: 2 x Front to Back = 11 5/8 x 11 2 x Extension = 11 13/16 x 11 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): Wire subs to one ohm. Subsonic filter to 29Hz.
