ok to bridge 4 ch amp to 2 sets of mids?

well i recently came across a thought, that if it was ok to bridge a 4 ch amp and get 2 channels , well my concern is will there be Left and Right issues like, one channel get left signal and will the other channel get the right signal or is it not a good idea (if it matters i will be using y-splitters to bring signal to the 4ch amp) hope u guys get what i mean

You'll be fine running bridge as long as you don't go below 4 ohms, depending on the amp it can internally combine channels for bridged mode but you will want to set one side first then try as best to match the other side. It's ok if you don't get them exactly right cause you can use the L/R on the H/U to get them close equal.

think i worded my op wrong i want one channel to get left signal and i want the other channel to get right signal ( out of a 4 channel)

Each bridged channel has it's own gain so you have to gain match the front and back, now each bridged channel will be your left and right channels so you want to get them as close as possible by using a multi meter and use a 1khz test tone.

so i will have to gain match both channels , not sure what u mean by getting l/ r channels close(or do u mean the gain? ) lol but basically if i can manage to do what u say i should be fine right?

Use a volt meter and check the voltage, get both sides close to each other as you can. Plus, some 4 channels will only do mono when you bridge them. So the left and right will combine no matter how you do it.

You are confusing yourself.

You will connect the left side to the bridged front channel.

You will connect the right side to the bridged rear channel.

You need to gain match the front and rear which become the left and right channels as close as possible.

EDIT: You now treat the 4 ch amp bridged as if it is a 2 ch amp.

yeah im so sorry i couldn't understand and yes that is what i mean L to front and R to rear and by gain matching itll be ok ? sorry i have no experience bridging stuff
