jrot Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 ive recently bought 96 acura tl. it has the stock tape/cd player in it. im using the ol tape adapter with my iphone4 (lame i know). i live in the boonies and so i pass through a lot of small towns, and when i do i get a over abundance of that cellular buzz interference BS, much more so than my wifes murano (hers is barely noticalble). even if i unplug the phone and put it in the back seat it will still pic it up. my questions are, do they shield the newer car decks from that interference? and is there anything i can do to shield mine as much as possible until i can replace the head???

jrot Posted September 4, 2012 Author Report Posted September 4, 2012 yeah i think your right. after spending a ton of time on the google it seems that the speakers are the issue. people seem to be using ferrite beads (like the weird bump on some usb cables). guess i could try it. are most new speakers shielded? cause i replaced the fronts with some polks and they dont seem to do it like the stock rears do.
