Im building an amp rack in the spare tire well and need to come up with a cooling system I live in Florida, and avg temp this time if year is 85-up. Amps never go into protect, they have thermal protect, even after playing at full tilt for awhile they can be touched. If your amps are bigger you can do more fans, or get amps with built in fans for better heat transfer. When I do my trim panels, I will put two more in a push/pull from left to right, cuz the amps will be covered. kingleo Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Im almost doing an amp rack like in meades isf so they will b covered with plexy I would, depending on the space you have put 1-2 fans push cool air in and 2-3 pull air out. That should be more than enough cooling. It's more important to pull hot air away from electronics.
