Enough amperage

I am going to run 2 pioneer tsw3002d4 with a hifonics Brutus 2100 ran at 1 ohm pushing 2000w rms. So I'm going to upgrade my stock alternator (100a) to a 180a high output with an optima yellow top battery. Is this enough for 2000w rms? ( I'm pretty sure my subs won't be seeing 2000w rms continuous)

It most likely isn't enough. Alot of that will depend on your listening and driving (to an extent) habits though. Would be nice to know a little more about your electrical... big3? Wire ga?

If that one amp is the only aftermarket electrical you have, that alternator is probably enough, but I am thinking an extra battery in back. I am sure you will hear a few opinions on optima batteries as well....

0 gauge on the big 3 and 0 gauge for the amp. Also my gains won't be up so high. This set up is for just a daily driver.

You only set your gain to match the output from your head unit, it's not volume control. Why underpower your subs?

Sounds like you're wanting to hear a yes, but I don't see that happening.

You never know until you try. People can tell you it's not enough electrical but until you instal a voltmeter and see for yourself, nobody will know.

My advice is try it the way you want and make sure you have solid grounds to the frame and if you're dropping to low, beef up the electrical a bit.

Nobody can give you a "for sure" answer.

The Max amperage alternator for my car is 180. My car is a 2009 and most places I have contacted don't make them yet. There's one place that has a 240 and 300, but it's nothing but a beefed up stock bolt in alternator.

The amp is a little too much for these subs to run them at full throttle. Those subs only need about 1500 rms from what I'm seeing. Plus it's in a ported box.
