tmac93 Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 dumb question but i really dont know the answer. recommened ported box size of my sub says 6.25-8.0cuft. what would happen if i put my sub in box that is 5.0cuft? after displacement of sub and port its maybe 5.1cuft. so basically its 1.25cuft too small. would this make a big difference, or somewhat kill my sub and sound like shit? if i confused anyone, the box is 6.0cuft but after displacement and everything it has roughly 5.1cuft of airspace.
Joe X Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Post max dims, vehicle, amps, subs models, music you listen and I will issue a box suggestion.

tmac93 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Report Posted September 10, 2012 can anyone answer my question? will it make a difference or not?
Joe X Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 That's 6 cubes gross just 5.83 taking away the driver displacement, ported would help definitely but unless you wall it I don't see how you are going to make it happen. It would be easier to get a couple of beefy 12s with that car.
