I decided to treat myself to something nice and ordered 2 re sx18's and re 5000.1 and re 800.4 to power my door speakers. I own a 2006 jeep commander and am curious if anyone would be able to give me the dimensions I should make my box. I also was curious if the re 5000.1 will power the 2 18's. bigmescan Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 are these new subs? ive ran the sx older style and newer style and never had an issue. and for the amps im not sure what it puts out. but if it can put out 2500wts then you will be good to go. Take a look at my thread about the carbon fiber subwoofer box in the subwoofers and enclosures section. It is only powered by a RF 1500 right now, but I just ordered a 2500 which should be in by the weekend. My box is just under 11 cubic feet net and is tuned to 35hz. And Kranny is 100% spot on, even with just 1860 watts, I dip below 12 volts every time I turn it up 3/4 power. Get a good Alt and at least another battery or two.
