mikelbolton Posted September 14, 2012 Author Report Posted September 14, 2012 Yeah, I ran a relay to make a switchable ground connection from the amp to the voltage readout. This way, I'm monitoring the voltage at the amp, but it's a 12V switchable system (off with the ignition). It's not that I couldn't figure it out. I was trying to see if there was another, easier way. I didn't feel like wiring a relay into the setup, but I also didn't wish to leave the 2-wire setup turned on all the time. This car is a 2011, so a switch wasn't really even an option. Jessica Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 You could get brave and just pull the source wire on one of your fuses and run a wire to the amp in back. Then you would have a switched volt meter and still be able to use whatever else is on the fuse. But relay is the "kiss" method.
