But like stang said pilot hole and work up has always done me good. Little bit of wd 40 or other lubricant to keep your bits lasting nice and sharp is a good idea too. Just a tip too, remember the tougher the material the slower the drill speed. i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah.. I'm not sure you got what stang meant, a pilot hole is just using a small drill bit, say an 1/8" or 1/4 inch bit, then using that as a starting point for a larger size drill bit, you may have to go a third time larger if you're drilling a real big hole but that's how I do it.
