quakecitystudio Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 I know that alot of people show their vehicles shaking windows, doing hairtricks, and breaking cds or ripping paper. I'd like to see if this is possible, How much acoustical force does your system have to move a 5,10, 20 or more dumbell or weight on a rope that is a foot away from the vehicle's driver or passenger side window and is mounted 2 feet from the holding bar that the rope is tied to or the hand of the person holding it, or even a foot away from the port of a wall. You can either hold the rope or make a stand to mount the rope to and have the weight freely hang below it. The question is can a system's acoustical bass force move a weight like a pendulum, how much weight and how far. Summarized - Bass vs. weight test Dumbbell or flat weight - 5, 10, 20 Lb., etc. Tied to rope 2 feet from mount bar on stand or person holding it. Positioned either: 1 ft away from driver or passenger side window, or 1 ft. away from port wall. What's the maximum weight it can move at each position. reg93f150 Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 i dunno if this is right or not.. but in all the other videos it just makes the stuff like float and ripple, it dosent actually push it out like your saying otherwise when they do hair tricks and what not it would just all go back like say if she was on a roller coaster or some shit.. but instead it just floats, ive never actually been near a hair trick or seen one in person, just stuff from youtube and what not so everything i said could be wrong.. but i dunno haha also not trying to be a a dick, just saying, i could be wrong anyways ALL CREDIT TO XX1 FOR DC BANNER down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub
quakecitystudio Posted September 25, 2012 Author Report Posted September 25, 2012 Well, the least bit, is I'm thinking it would cause the rope to ripple, which would cause the weight to move. I've been in a number of serious vehicles that can move alot of air, and with the recent vids of vehicles making "heavy" objects shake or move, brought up the idea to have a rope weight vs. bass test.
