SCS_Audio Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Might be hard to find the ACC wire for a factory HU depending on the car. Newer ones are a pain. Also, they don't follow the color code of aftermarket (usually don't follow a color code at all!!) If they did, yellow is BAT which is always hot. Red is ACC or ignition which is what you want. Best bet is to find a fuse in the fuse box that comes on when the key is turned to the ACC position. (Think windshield wipers, heater, etc.) Then either spice into the wiring if possible, or come off the fused side of the fuse with a fuse tap. REM wire will not draw much current at all so blowing a fuse because of it should not be a concern. Toggle switch after that is up to you, but I like the ability to shut them off when I want to. 2012 North American Street Stock Runner-up - 150.9 on 1800 clamped watts (Teammate)2013 dB Drag Street Trunk World Champion - 153.9 on 3200 clamped Watts (Teammate)2013 MECA Trunk 1 World Champion - 152.8 Headrest (Teammate)2013 MECA Park & Pound 2 World Champion - 130.6 (Teammate)Checkout our build and videos !! : ) 150+ Trunk Build Log itsgordy1 youtube channel (click for Hairtricks)Smith's Custom SeatsMartinsburg, PA (Second Skin Dealer)
