ncc74656 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 im helping a friend build a system for his car, a 2007 ford fuzion. he wants quality over volume and he was impressed with my fi BL 18" quality in my truck but only at about 50% volume. i was thinking of pairing a kicker ZX1000.1 and a 12" SSD fi in a sealed box. in his truck i was thinking to build a 12X12X18" sealed box but there is plenty of room to place a larger box in there. 3ft by 2ft by 3ft is about our max dementions. anyone have any input on a new size of box or amp or sub? nothing, gutted
DustinBolt Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 i have a ported ssd 12 in my trunk box dimensions are 32w 16h and like 12 or 13d with the room he has he could easily go ported 15 or even 18 it sounds like. Sounds wise i love my ssd and that amp will be perfect for it. 1997 BMW 528i Fi ssd 12 6th order box Build Log- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/144835-rebuild-in-the-bmw-6th-order-time-update-1113/
ncc74656 Posted September 30, 2012 Author Report Posted September 30, 2012 i was thinking of going with sealed because he does not need large volume and is wanting to have the best quality. plus i feel more confident in building a sealed box than a ported one. is my reasoning correct? nothing, gutted
