beginning feelers for system rebuild

So, like the title says, I am looking into a system rebuild.

Vehicle: 2004 Ford Ranger Edge, ext cab, 2 door (manual everything) solid rear glass.

current:

subs: 2x Rf T1D412

power: pos audiobahn A1800DT (approx 4-5 yrs old) will replace

alpine pdx 100.4

powering pair each of:

Hertz HSK 165 (doors)

Alpine SPX-17PRO 6.5" (custom pods in back corners) thinking bout deleting rear stage

Kenwood X996 for the HU

big 3 done, second batt in bed (with amps) and apropriate power/ground wires all run.

What I am looking to upgrade:

subs: 2 12" Dc lvl 4

sub amp: not sure yet, would prefer a single amp, preferably at 1 ohm

already looked into boxes, have a few ideas.

RF 3sixty.3

some form of a shallow 8" for the doors.

will be looking at incorporating electric windows (yippee) and the door speakers to the actual interior panels.

looking to get either a mechman or singer ho alt, got quotes for both.

heres my big question:

that darn back wall (will not be doing a blow through, no need) will need to be strengthened.

I have read of using either "angle iron" or 2x3 or 2x4's "glued/epoxied" to the back wall. Will this really help, at least a little bit? right now I already have a ton of movement, which obviously equals tons of noise.

hope this wasn't TO confusing, I dont always explain things the best.

anywho, any input would be great!

im assuming there in the cab sense youre not doing a blow through, have you tried damp. on the rear wall? are you wanting to strengthen it for vibration so it wont flex as much, or for weight

yeah I have tried damp. just takes away the "pingy" noise (best I can describe it). I am really trying to just strenghten it up back there so I dont have to hear it slapping back and fourth anymore.

yea i would try the angle iron, if the epoxy doesnt work ide try welding them. I use jb kwik weld for most of my stuff, its some strong sht.

I angled steel across the back, but if youre just trying to strengthen the back why not just 2x4 all the way across the back and expanding foam to fill.

thaught about the 2x4 trick as well, lol then there would be one more place to screw down boxes

I have a little bit of room in there now, I think I nay give it a go this weekend to see what works as far as an epoxy/glue with a couple short piece of angle iron. maybee i will get lucky.
