kbreudi
what frequency and what do you mean how to setlpf 80hz ssf 25-20hz ????? There should only be two freq settings, one for LP and one for subsonic, unless its an rf amp (maybe others too) that let you adejust what freq you want the bass boost to occur at. If thats what it is i would set it a little above what your box is tuned to, again thats if it is a bass boost freq Quote TEAM SUNDOWN 4 Nightshade 15"s 2 Sundown SAZ-4500 8 Deep Cycle batts 1998 Cadillac Catera SPLMAX CUP 2008 Fourth Place Overall
kbreudi
you may know how, but in my sig, the RMS chart shows what output voltage you should get according to the RMS rating of the amp with the given load. and...with the subsonic set at about 25, can that enable a song like 'bass, i love you' to be played loud? without it bottoming out. cuz i know it has the potential to do sub damage Well i would asume so, it should from my understanding. But it might let some fo the lower freq through, just now nearly at as high of a level? anklebiter611
i am assuming this is a subwoofer ampif you listen to rap, lpf(low pass filter/crossover) @80hz 12db slope if you listen to more rock set it @ 100hz 12db slope ----- this keeps notes higher than __hz from being played by subs(the higher the slope the better integration with midbass speakers) set subsonic filter 5-10hz below the tune frequency of ur ported box/or if sealed its not needed -----this keeps notes lower than __hz from being played by subs (usually causing overexcursion) ultimately the higher the slope the better when you say higher slope, you mean steeper right? so 24db is better than 12db? or is that wrong? Decaf
supposedly the higher or steeper the crossover slope, the better transition there is from sub to mids, and mids to high pay attention to the more expensive amps, the crossover slopes on most are at 12db, but the more you pay, amps have 18 or 24db slopes so again lpf 80hz, 12db slope or more subsonicfilter 25hz(should be 5-10 below tune freq.) again 12db slope or more 0 bass boost, 0/flat on eq until u get to 100-120hz or higher and the gain/level which u didnt mention, can be set by ear or digital multimeter Edited January 17, 2008 by decafcappucino

Torres
i do have kinda a quick question. my amp has bass boost and gain...what's the difference in setting the two for output voltage?
Coolwazabi
not sure what everyone else said... but just turn all it off... but it thats not an option do low pass "will play low freq only" for subwoofers... and high pass "won't play low freq" for pretty much everything else..
