JesseyMclame
So, my box is for a single cab truck. The dimensions have to be, 55" wide, 15.5" tall, and at the bottom of the box it needs to be 8", and the top of the box needs to be 6". How do you figure out the cutsheet for this ? Sorry, I'm really new to this . Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs. Charles Stites
use the re box design software and it will figure them out for you. bottom would be 55x8 top would be 55x6 back would be 55x14 front would be 52 3/4 by 14.14 easiest way to make the sides it to put the front and back and top n bottom on temporarily then trace the sidepanel cuts out thru the speaker holes
JesseyMclame
I did, and I was able to get the angle I wanted for the longer and shorter cuts. But i've used torres before, and it's cutsheet is different than what I got.. So essentially, the cuts I'd need would be, 55x8 for the bottom of the box, 55x6 for the top, and for the sides i'd need like .. 15.5x8x6? Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs. JesseyMclame
And I did try out the RE calculator but the cutout sheet makes no sense. box left plate : 7.25 x 14 x 5.25 x 14.142135623731 box right plate : 6.5 x 14 x 4.5 x 14.142135623731 Those shouldn't be different sizes right ? but the picture looks accurate. Charles Stites
because the front panel goes inside the two outer plates im not sure why the one end piece would be different they should be the same size.. if you have a long ruler and a piece of cardboard or paper you can draw the design of the panels and just trace them onto the wood also i have done this in the past to make sure i had no issues with sub depth. JesseyMclame
okay. So I should cut out the top, bottom, front and back first, and make sure the sides are perfect ? top would be, 55x6" bottom, 55x8, back, 55x14 front, 52 and 3/4 by 14 ? Also, I'd like to make it ported, and tuned around 34hz. But I think aero ports would be the best for that ? How should I go about it ? do like 1 3 or 4" aero out the side tword the passenger door, and make it super deep, until its 6" from the other side of the box ? or what ? Charles Stites
with the wedge shape it may be the best to slot port it with a single port coming out the top of the box in the center. you could use the aero port on the side also but have to make sure you have enough spacing. JesseyMclame
What size aero port would you recommend ? And I have like 8-12 inches on the passenger side. box doesn't go all the way across. Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs.
