I don't want to wall. I like seeing my rear window but I need the trunk for batts and amps. Was thinking of 4 12s facing up and port forward (2 common walls) so down the middle. I have plenty of space but I want to get it right the first time since I'm building in the car. My power is a crescendo BC3500D at .5 (will be 2 3500s strapped eventually) and its on 4 american bass xfl 12s. Thinking about 31-33hz tuning since I wanna be able to hair trick but still get loud. Anyone have any box ideas? Max dimensions are 40wide by 28high by 28long.

sub up port back doesn't work too well in trunk cars usually.

if you want loud and you want to see out of your rear window, do 2 12's firing forward sealed off.

I agree with this methodology, I have always liked trunk car systems with this design.

I think he wants to use the trunk for batts and amps, and have a big box in the back seat. If you do this you have to make sure you isolate your trunk and cabin for best performance. I honestly would try 4 12's firing foward and port firing up.

I have 2 xfls on the 3500 firing forward now... not satisfied. Want more cone area and space for batts and amps. But without a full wall. 4 12s fit fine in about 7-8cu net

you sure you had EVERY crevice filled with foam? even a single hole can drastically decrease performance

Not all but 95% for sure. Its loud but I want more air movement. And 4 12s will get louder, plus its gonna be at .5 rather than 1ohm I got now
