atlhawks Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 i was looking at a couple of jvc and pioneers on sonicelectronix from between 100-140 shipped with wiring harness and dash kit so that should save me a little bit of money
CleanSierra Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_52148_Kenwood-eXcelon-KDC-X396.html Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

atlhawks Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 oh wow i didnt know that. im not looking for anything too flashy so that looks good and it has a fron aux and usb i didnt wanna have to run my usb from behind the unit. thanks man. just have to figure out which subs now
CleanSierra Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 My first subs I ran in my regular cab were Type E Alpines and they sucked. They were in a sealed box, so they could have been louder for sure. My second ones were RE Audio SRx's. They were like $100 a piece and they did pretty well. I would recommend them for an entry level guy. If I were you though, maybe look into entry level Skar or Sundown. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
atlhawks Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 im like you i used to have an ext s10 and did 3 different setups in there. my very first setup was 2 type e's sealed on an alpine 500 or 600 watt amp. then i upgraded the amp and did 3 10 re se sealed then did 2 of them ported and liked both of the setups but sold them with the truck so now im ready to put something in the new truck
atlhawks Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 the title may have been a little misleading lol but this is my first setup in this truck and the first time i will be installing everything myself and not paying for the shops to charge me out the arse
CleanSierra Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Yeah then let er rip. Throw a couple Fi SSD 10s ported tuned to 33-36 depending on preference. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 I must have misunderstood when you said newb and first setup in the title. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
atlhawks Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 ive had all my installs done from a shop and never really understood much about them. ive been doing some research and stuff and looking into the brands like youve mentioned. im still very new to all this thats why i came here looking for some help
