gibblegeibel Posted October 21, 2012 Report Share Posted October 21, 2012 I'm planning on wiring up 2 amps for 3 subs. i have a kicker 300.1 amp on a kicker 8" then I'm gana hook a p hifonics 1000.1d to a set of Rockford fosgate p3 12s. i have about 6 to 10 foot of 0 gauge wire already. I'm looking to get some 4 gauge wire. i know i need a distribution block and a fuse holder. but can some one help me with a what size fuzes and what else i need? Tim Lam Posted October 22, 2012 Report Share Posted October 22, 2012 so im guessing you're wanting to split the 0awg into the distro block for the 2 amps? well if you could, get a distribution block with fuses in it. for the power wire going into the kicker 300.1 i think you should be fine with ~50amp fuse. and for the 1000.1d, i would use a 100amp fuse. Tim Lam Posted October 22, 2012 Report Share Posted October 22, 2012 my friend did this, he had a fuse holder by the battery under the hood. 4awg going in and on the other side he squeezed the 8awg and 4awg on the other side, which was wired like 12 feet straight back to the amps. i dont recommend this, but he had no problems doing this.
