Thats it for now. I am waiting on some replacement door panels so i dont have to cut up my factory ones. And I should have the box completed in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned! And thanks for looking!

Nice work on the box. Are you using perspex for the front baffle or am I seeing things??

Front baffle is Acrylic. Never again will I work with this shit. It must take years of experience and talent to get it perfect. And I am not that guy! lol

The caulk will dry clear and then ill have to clean it up a bit. It looks "OK" in person. I am really not all that thrilled with it. The top and bottom plates of the box will be covered so you wont see the unfinished edge.

Doesn't look terrible from this end!! I think you'd have been better off making one panel to cover the whole side, vs that top plate coming out and screwing into the acrylic. Screw the acrylic to the top plate. Make sense?

Makes perfect sense! I thought about that one after the fact. If I was smart I would have used 1" MDF with threaded inserts and used 1/4x20 stainless hex head screws to secure it to the wood. What really didnt help either was that I had the acrylic precut and apparently their tolerances suck! Each piece was an 1/8" too narrow and 1/8" too tall. So I had to redesign the box to make up for the cut errors. This box should hold up but if it doesnt I already have tons of mistakes i have learned from. The next one will be better.

Use birch next time too. Mucho better than MDF. Little bit more money, but worth it. Every time is a learning process man! You just got your first lesson is all! HOpe it works out for you!

Cool thanks for the advice!
