Nice ride you have there...I have a 99 camry but mines only the LE and no leather, my first car also (im 16). The trunk is actually nice and spacy, i managed to fit an 18" btl into mine so you shouldn't have a problem with trunk space, nice choice

how'r the boston acoustics and mb quart speakers working for you?

Man I love them. Both are three way set ups. which compose of 6.5" mid bass 4" midrange and of course a 1" tweeter along with a three way crossover. I have them bi-amped in different cars. Front Stage Only!!!

also anyone know if i need those adapter things for 6x9s or if they jsut pop in the stock location? looking for ZERO custom work on my car if possible ...

I took out my 6x9s but I'm sure they'll drop right in. The 6.5s did.

I haven't heard them. You should just go do some shopping. Take a ride down Stevens Creek and check out the different stereo shops and listen to what they got and what they recommend. Bring some CD's at least three with different music. If your like most you at least listen to three different Genre's of music. Some will be an ass about it and sell you anything. Don't buy anything without asking questions here. Believe it or not there are a lot serious guys on here and they will definately point you in the right direction. Quality and Price should be the key two factors but, if the $50 speakers sounds better to you than the $200. Buy it. Its your ears and your money.

Fi Q's and DC subs. If its SQ your going for the sub is maybe 25% of the install factor. (Ratio might be wrong).

On a personal side note. I'd recommend going with a speaker manufacture over an all around audio manufacture when it comes to buying speakers. ALPINE, KENWOOD, PIONEER make it all. Not saying they don't know how but, do the comparision between an Alpine and say a pair Image Dynamics or Rainbows and you'll see and hear the difference. Then again your pocket book will real see the difference.

I hear a lot of good things about the Pioneer REVs but I would trust a company that focuses on speakers rather than someone that is more out to make money and push products.

That's a really good point - I know Alpine makes great decks (Pioneers have engine noise I heard?) but IDK about their speakers.

I'll start doing my research .. on weekends .... I haves school until 3:30 and then work until 7 or so on weekdays, then homework ...

But Saturday I'll take a little trip and look at some speakers and stuff.

I took them out completely and I just have the 6.5s up front. I added a small amp for them and its loud enough for now and sounds better than having in the stock 6x9s. Saved me a little money too. No one sits in the back seats so I didn't need them anyway!

Oh I see. Okay, that makes sense. I'd rather get a more surroundy feel to it ... and USUALLY nobody is in my car but occasionally yeah.

i just want it to be screaming loud, not distorted, and sound very good and balanced.
