ibf150
I'm gonna cut the rings for the door panels tomorrow. On another note I sat down with my friend Vinny (guy helping me with the console) we went over wiring, amplifiers, amp rack all the little things. Door design has been finalized 4 6.5" Soundstream SME.658 on the front doors with 1 Crescendo FT1 tweeter or 1 Soundstream SST-05. Back doors will be getting 2 8" Soundstream SME.804 We've decided on the amp rack design under the backseat, theft proofing everything and making sure everything will run cool. Which brings me to the Amps originally I had considered running the 8 6.5s on my P400.2 but since the amp rack will be somewhat visible I've decided I'll be getting matching Hifonics amps. So the big boy 1200.1D will be running at 1 ohm putting 1200 watts RMS to the 4 10s As soon as the Rockford Fosgate P400.2 sells I'll be ordering a 4 channel Hifonics A/B amplifier each front channel will be on 4 8 ohm 6.5s @ 2 ohms putting 62.5w RMS per speaker, each back channel will go to 2 4 ohm 8" mids so at 2 ohms they'll see 125w rms each. 1 more Hifonics 2 channel amp will power the tweeters My Build Thread 2005 F150 : 2005 F150 Center Console Build Center Console - 3.2 cubes @ 35hz 4 RE Audio SRX10s - Pure Audio 3000.1 8 6.5 Soundstream SME.658 - Soundstream TN4.900D 4 NX-5 Super Tweeters
CJ18
Hey I recognize a set of those doors! If you arent comfortable tackling the doors, I can give you the number for the guy that built mine. I have tried glass work before and it just isnt my thing. Building a set of door panel is one thing, but building a set that looks like you meant to do it that way is another. It is really a true craft to be able to build a set of doors that looks like it could have come that way from the factory(if the factory installed 7 mids and 3 super tweeters in each door)
CJ18
Console looks good. If you want to go ported, you can always step it up and go up onto the back seat. I build one for 4 10s a few years ago like that. Worked out great!

I think its safe to say that I know the 04-08 F150s jsut about as good as anyone out there. Appreciate the help man, I'll keep that in mind Console looks good. If you want to go ported, you can always step it up and go up onto the back seat. I build one for 4 10s a few years ago like that. Worked out great! yeah we were trying to go ported with this set up without going onto the backseat I chose these subs since the subwoofers only need .65 ft^3 ported @ 35hz but somewhere we ended up going sealed. I think this set up will keep me happy for a few months if not a year and then I'll probably be at it again. At that time I'll probably go to two bucket seats in the back and extend the console all the way to the back. Hey I recognize a set of those doors! Your set up is insane, looks so good and I'm sure it sounds amazing in person. I've been wanting to work with fiberglass since back in 08 when I had my xterra. I been reading up on it researching, watching videos since then and I'm feeling confident enough to attack the project. I don't feel confident enough to go to a set up like the blue doors just yet. I'll probably be going to a set up like yours when you had the 4 6.5s. I talked to a friend of mine and he's positive he can texture and paint them to match the factory door panels so I think that's the route I'll be taking. ibf150
Haven't had time to make any progress on the sound department myself but my friend Vinny put some padding on the console and wrapped it today at some point. Been busy with organic chemistry. In the meantime for those that enjoy the truck porn: Need to find some time to edit those, never too early to see if I can get a sponsor for SEMA 2013. ibf150
Center console is wrapped in foam covered in leather. (needs to be comfortable since it doubles as an armrest) Went to install it in the truck and said oh oh, there is a seatbelt control module right in the middle of the dang floor and I'm concerned I might need to relocate it before I finish installing it. Anybody have some input in this?
