Ahh gotcha, heard that from a couple people but it wasn't explained like this I get it now. First L port I've ever attempted to build if you can't tell

also put a port divider in the middle of the port like this one, the triangle looking thing

Just ordered a PAC LC-1 for level control since the IA 20.1 has no bass knob, it's a competition amp to the core. Installing this thing clean is gonna be fun, might just get a little lazy and go under-dash if I can't flush mount it without too much modification.

LC-1 is here, may swap out the pot in this and strip it down for a flush-mount. Still undecided.

Please be aware, I am open to any and ALL input on this build and everything that pertains to it by extension. Don't keep your knowledge and experience to yourself when it could help! Thanks to the community for your support and knowledge, this is the first build I'm doing with "underground" equipment and my own box design can't say I'd be here without you all.

I would definitely flush mount that bad boy. It would look MUCH cleaner than any other mounting method.

That's what I'm thinking, might pick up a 1 & 1/2 DIN dash kit from Metra and put this and my C1100.4s remote gain under my head unit on a blank insert. Would make wiring this 10x easier too and reduce latency since I don't need to add another 10ft of RCA length to my sub out then.

That would be a good place to mount them. It would definitely make wiring them easier.

If it were mine I think I would mount them on the drivers side of the armrest console. I just like to keep things kinda stealthy though. But I think they would still look clean mounted on a blank insert under the head unit.
