sbg Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 so when it started to get cold out here (iowa) like 1 month ago my truck would be dead in the morning. only when its real cold! and only like 1 time a week. got my batt/alt tested and they are both good. 14.4 v with lights,heat,system, all the stuff on. so i did the test light thing were u take off the negative and put the test light on.... so i find that i have something surging(test light was going real bright to real dim) .... i can hear a click click like every 30 sec from under my dash so i go under i find a box with relay's in it. i start to pull them intell the click stops and the test light goes real dim light it should be. the relay thing was for my windows so when i took it out my windows do not work. i got a new relay and put it in and the test light stayed dim and there was no click click so i thought i was good. well it has been like 2 weeks now and this morning i went out to start my truck and it was dead!!!!!! so i do the test light again and same thing as before! and this time my truck would not even jump intell i took the relay out. so i think i have a short or something not sure. someone have this problem before ???? or know what i should do to fix it? truck is a 96 explorer xlt 4.0 v6 -4dr 2wd 01 focus se 110 amp alt Big 3 sky high and stinger hpm ofc 1/0 Super start platinum AGM (starting) 2 runs of 1/0 Execution audio front to back Kenwood double DIN DDx271 A pillars- orion 4" super tweeter and 2-1" alpines.
