alaskanzx5 Posted November 22, 2012 Report Share Posted November 22, 2012 When installing door speakers in a 2008 vw rabbit can I just replace the speakers and use the factory crossovers or do I need to use new ones. assuming that it has crossovers maybe, depending on ohm load. would i no, why? well each speaker isnt the same and might need different crossover and octave slopes. like say one speaker sounds good from 80-4khz but the other sounds good from 150-4khz. well you dont want to put the second speaker on the crossover for the first speaker or else it will be getting to low of a freq damaging the speaker and sounding horrible. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
