Jbiddle530 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 so before i start my sq system i want some peoples imput on if you think it would be alright.... so to start out i would be using an alpine CDA-9887 head unit which i already have.. front stage i want to do 1 8" Dynavox LW8004PMR 8" Woofer for mid bass 1 in each door in factory 6 " location but slightly angled towards driver side seat headrest HPF 63hz 12db slope LPF 800hz 12db slope http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-610 2 dayton audio RS100-8 4" reference full-range driver 2 each door in custom build door panels 1 on each door panel angled towards driver side seat head rest and the other one in each door panel will be angled towards passenger side head rest.. HPF 800hz 12 db slope LPF 6300 hz 18db slope http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-352 Vifa bc25sc06-04 1" textile dome tweeter.. 1 will be mounted in each door panel and then i will have one in the bottom of each a piller as an upstage tweeter... HPF 6300 hz 18db slope sub stage heres is somewhere that im not really sure on yet i want some advice here should i do a FI Q high qts 15 inch sub in a 3.2 cube sealed fiberglass enclosure or should i do a FI Q 12 inch sub in a 2.25 cube enclosure tuned low with a 4" aero port i also am not sure what i am gonna use for amps yet because i cant afford to buy audison or hertz or anything like that i think my max price is like 300 per amp.. and also wanna use the pxa-h800 alpine imprint fully active sound processor

Also, those angles may "sound" good, but could throw your "Stage and Image" way off ... Jbiddle530 Posted November 23, 2012 Author Report Posted November 23, 2012 okay so i have a few questions about what i wanted to run though you say i should set my low pass on my midbass close to 70hz.... then wouldnt i be pushing all of my sound through a single 4" mid on each side would that really be loud enough??? ad also would i really wanna runn that much frequency through a 4" mid how about 1 - 15" Sub sealed box LPF - 63hz 12db slope 2 - 8" mid bass HPF - 63hz 12db slope LPF - 630hz 12db slope 2 - 5.25" midrange instead of 4" HPF - 630hz 12db slope LPF - 6300hz 18 db slope 4 - 1" tweeters 1 in each door panel 1 in each a-piller HPF - 6300hz 18db slope thats what my origional plan was to be and i think i may go with that instead seems like it would work a little bit better for what i want

Actually, my truck is in a thousand pieces at the moment with a front stage upgrade (5.25" mid and tweeter up on the dash / a-pillar area with the 6.5" midbass drivers in the same location, just on their own amp) ... for the most part, still a passive setup, with the doors practically running fullrange ... White Lightning Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 how about 1 - 15" Sub sealed box LPF - 63hz 12db slope Not my area of expertice, but I like it ... run it up to 70 htz to match up with the midbass driver ... then time align it for that "up front / up on the dash bass response" if possible ... how about 2 - 8" mid bass HPF - 63hz 12db slope LPF - 630hz 12db slope I like it ... with natural roll off on the top end ... you always want to "overlap" just a little while tuning ... how about 2 - 5.25" midrange instead of 4" HPF - 630hz 12db slope LPF - 6300hz 18 db slope Sounds good to me ... I'm sure there will be alot of tweaking and tuning here ... how about 4 - 1" tweeters 1 in each door panel 1 in each a-piller HPF - 6300hz 18db slope No ... just one up on each a-pillar crossed over around 3000 htz ... yes, I said 3000 htz. Got to be one bad ass tweeter to handle it, but you will not be dissapointed when you hear it done correctly ... Then again, these are all my sugestions ... Jbiddle530 Posted November 23, 2012 Author Report Posted November 23, 2012 also found what amps i wanna run. two polk audio PA D4000.4 for the mids and higs and a Polk audio D1000.1 mono amp for what ever sub set up i decide to run.. also gonna pick up the alpine pxa-h800 imprint processor soon i like these amps though because they have a small footprint, a really high signal to noise ratio, and a nice low THD @ rated rms and there affordable
