Sutliff
I am going to be running Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 componests for front stage, & two 12" FI IB312's in a 2003 Monte Carlo SS. I want to make an educated decicion for a driver to put in the rear seat side panels - I need to put them ther because to subs will fire up through those holes in the rear deck. Been look all over for an old pair of the 8" shallow-mount Infinity used to have, but it has turned up nothing, ... just cannot find anyone with them. Am I on the right track in looking for * inchers, or would a 6.5" mid-bass prove to be usefull too? Ihad thought about another set of Perfect components, but thought that would just be too much, & did not really need the whole frequency range that components system would aford me. Moreover, the reason for the shallow-mount search is there is not a ton of room for the mounting depth. A little over 3", & that is it, unless I start building "out". Also, with doing this, I am going to be in the market for a 5-channel amp. Any ideas? Or could a 3-channel work if I picked a 4-ohm driver, & the amp could run 2-ohm stereo, then I could run it with some higher power all around, & with a passive x-over? Hmmm ...
