Good and bad to be back on (Need amp help)

Its nice to be back on the smd forum after a long time hope everyones doing well.

Im a noob/rookie when it comes to car audio and im trying to improve my knowledge.

It all started bout 2 weeks ago when my MAXI (30) fuse stopped functioning (Didn't blow still had the connection it just had bent prongs and looked much older then my other one running to my mids and highs amp. I threw in a new one and I was bumping again.

(The bad part)

2 weeks went by and my amp wasn't receiving power again. I first checked the fuses in the back of the amp (Both fried) and the new maxi i just put in was fine.

I pulled out the 2 in the back of the amp and was going to put 2 new ones back in but when I went to put them in the fuses were sparking a lot so i was like fuck that im going to take the maxi out first sense it was hard to reach the fuses where i had my amp mounted and i didn't feel like getting super shocked that day. I put the two new little 30s in the back of my amp and then walked around to my hood to put the maxi back in to complete the circuit. Im sure u can guess what happened next. POP smokes starts coming out my amp and i start getting furious.

Please if someone can enlighten me on what the fuck happened because I dont feel like I did anything wrong I mean come on I had replace the maxi last week why the fuck would it blow now and not then!!!!!!!!!

Ps my truck wasn't even on when it blew and i was wanting to replace it soon with my friends and so I really need someone that I can throw some pictures to and see if I can get some advice so it doesn't happen ever again.

1. check your wiring. make sure your power wires arent grounding out somewhere.

2. if all is good, then your amp may be toast inside, maybe.

You didn't disconnect the ground wire before pulling the fuses and you didn't connect the ground wire as the last wire.

Normally if you want to disconnect something you first disconnect the ground wire and then the power wire. To reconnect you connect the positive first and then you connect the negative. That's why your amp went 'poof'.

Have you tried replacing all the fuses for the amp to work again?

Damn, I never had that problem with anything, but I will be taking that precaution from now on. thanks. I do have in line and on-amp fuses for both my amps though..
