Electrical Math Help

I watched a couple vids and read some about the math behind figuring out how much electrical you need, but I'm still just not getting it. I could really use some help. I'm still in the planning stages, and I really want to do my next install correctly the first time. I know what amps and everything I'd like to run, but I wanna make sure I can have the electrical to back it up.

Amps:

- BC5500

- C1600.2 x2

- C1100.4

All total in the configuration I want = 8020w

My main concern is the alternator for my vehicle choice. The biggest one I've found is an Iraggi 380a max, about 210a at idle. I haven't seen any dual alt brackets nor any dual alt installations for it. I was also planning on all D3100s, I just don't know how many it'd take or if I'd need to run more than one alt.

I've really tried to do the math, but I'm stumped on it.

what kind of car (and motor) do you have?

I'm probably gonna get flamed for it, but I don't have the car yet. I'm planning on getting a Chevy HHR. It's comes with either a 2.2 or 2.4L I4 Ecotech. I'm just trying to get a baseline of what I'm looking at for what I'd like to do. Hell, I even found the cargo dimensions and figured out what I can fit back there. I've seen some good builds in them, just not many build logs going through the details. I can't drive yet because of an accident. I'm mainly keeping myself busy and doing something productive for after I recuperate.

why not look for a car that has dual kits available?

hhr ed (i think he still goes on this forum, i have no idea) has done some sick work in his hhr. you can probably get some ideas from him.

I could... Still considering it. I just don't see too many around. It's one of those things where I saw it and fell in love with it. Lol. My plan is a 2 15 c pillar wall.

Problem solved. Down sized to what I can do on one alt with the same equipment. Cheaper and not a pain in the ass. Original plan was two AA Mayhems in a c-pillar wall, but I decided instead of spending the extra money on another alt and finding a way to mount it to go with AA Havocs on the same amp wired to 2ohm for 2800w. The charge ratio comes much closer to the 1:1 ration you want, which will mostly be music instead of test tones. I really appreciate you posting that vid. It explained everything SO much better than any other I've seen. Maybe someone will have a dual alt bracket done by the time I wanna up size. I mean, I was happy with two Rockford R1 12s on 300 watts, so I think this system idea will blow me out of them water.
