Signal Bulb help

I'll try my best to make my question as simple with out making people brain explode.

i have a 91 Vw gti 16v

I put the bulbs in and everything is working as it should. BUT with the parking lights on, when i apply the brakes, the parking light turns off for less then half a second then turn back on. what should i look into to fix that breif turn off of the lights?

the bulbs that i put in (did not buy from this store. bulbs purchased from ebay)

Also i do not have a hyper flash issue because i already replaced the relay to prevent that.
