Eric Robinson Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Posted December 9, 2012 thanks for the input guys. stoped in at one of the local sound shops this after noon. after talking to tyler for a few and showing him what i was running and plan to add in the futere, we came up with a plan. cost of all wire for big 3 upgrade, second batt, and 2 fuse blocks over $350. he gave me some sudgestions as far as what to do with the other 2 SA 8 V.2. not sure if i am really wanting to get in to fiberglass boxes, but that would allow me to house all 4 subs. second option is to build a new box subs acing up and rear port. in single box it will be easier to run 4 subs at 1 ohm and pair them to a 1 ohm stable monoblock amp.
Eric Robinson Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Posted December 9, 2012 next problem. when playing my stereo trunk closed and back seats in normal position ( up ) it sounds great but if i open the trunk or lay a seat down is sounds like crap is this the same with all ported boxes or is their something gone wrong??
Slobalt7 Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 Have you tried the dual box in the pic isobaric? Also the seat/trunk issue, does it sound muddy or quiet or what? Yeah, it's slower than your bowel movements.
Eric Robinson Posted December 10, 2012 Author Report Posted December 10, 2012 are you refering to clamshell isobaric?? if so it is not possable with my box. the top was just off in that pic to show interior detail. the top is now sealed to the rest of the box and in non removable. with the sound issue i think it is a result of not haveing a sealed space around the box. when i open the trunk or lay a seat down adjust amp or check battery voltage at the amp. no bass with the trunk open. seat down i get great sound but little bass. i have bee looking for my camera to take a vid so everyone can hear what i am hearing.
