BiiiGWaves Posted December 8, 2012 Report Share Posted December 8, 2012 What's up, i got a DC XL 12 and I am about to build a box this weekend. First one... My trunk has a weird shape(the depth starts at 16" at the top then narrows down to 12 " at the bottom). I designed this box on RE's box calculator. I am going to sandwich two pieces of .75" thick MDF, so I dont have to brace. I heard one like this before, and that ish was proper.. Anyways, im going to mount the sub at the top of this enclosure. Problem is that the port is firing toward my trunk(it would literally be resting against my trunk). So where else could I put it that would make it sound good? Im also going to use fiberglass resin on the inside to smooth everything out and i'm going to use 45's. Trying to keep the tuning around the 33-34 area. Any tips? Maybe I can tilt it forward slightly, but that would make almost every surface of the box uneven. Making it harder to place the port... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
