One Way
Hi guys, I was trying to design a box for two 10" type Rs and wanted to use aero ports (because of space). Trouble is, I'm not really sure how much port area per foot i need for tuning. I know its less than slot ported boxes but i'm unsure how much. want to do subs up port back. other problem I came across is the quantity of ports: is it better to have a single big aero or two or more smaller ones. this is the best i could come up with: using a single 6" aero i can come up with a similar design with 2 4" aero ports but im not sure which would be better. much help is appreciated! TheNewbie
Your net is a bit big brotha.. 1.3 max ported for those subs. I don't think it really matters how many you use, just preference. Site for the subs if you'd like to look at specs anyone. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4045_Alpine-SWR-1042D.html Check out my build log: http://www.stevemead...60#entry1958353 Different folks have different strokes. One Way
Well that car gets loud anyway. If you dont do a 46-47 id rebuild. Id i had that gear, 3cuft after with 13 sqin per tuned to 34 Well I'm going off of that^^^ But since its an aero port I know the area per foot is going to be less T-line build- http://www.stevemead...e-t-line-build/

Stick to it, but wouldn't that mean you would put less power per sub? Check out my build log: http://www.stevemead...60#entry1958353 Different folks have different strokes. TheNewbie
Perhaps you could be fine with 9.. it'd just be better if you could raise it a tad I'm thinking.. I don't want to go into your ride and here whooooosh from port noise brotha Check out my build log: http://www.stevemead...60#entry1958353 Different folks have different strokes.
