any double din with detachable face worth damn?

I would say just get one you like and then get a good alarm. A detachable face on a double din seems like it would be a hassle. Could also be a problem with the screen getting damaged or cracked from handling it.

i second that idea. and i also believe a car alarm gives a discount on insurance, so double win!

new mids an highs, still debating on what to do.

The jvc's are great units he'll it has stuff the higher end ken wood don't. My brother has the pioneer mix track and its def a keeper, I have not seen a problem with them yet

I have the pioneer avh p8400bh and i really like it. it has a detachable face. many features i like and tested with a dd-1 it has no clipping on 40/40 for lows and highs with eq flat and sub level at 0.. using the -0db track.
