For power right now i have an aq2200 but im ugrading to some kind of 3500w amp just havent decided which. I also think that's a lot of port area per foot for as low as its tuned. If you're gonna give it 1000W over RMS, that needs to be considered with box design. In this case I'm planning on double baffle, top front and sides with a couple dowels for bracing. Forget about the 3500 I can always build a new box. Would this design be ok on my 2200 or should try to shrink it a little? Tuned as low as 31Hz I don't know that the sub you're using really needs 16 square inches per foot. 14ish might be a little better. So a 3 inch port maybe instead of 3.5, or maybe even 3.25?
