jazz5000
Hi i recentely bought a VW Golf mk4 that had a two way air ride already installed. So far i have had to change the relay and also the switches seemed dead when i tested them, So am in the process of changing those out. 380 viar compressor easy street gauges 1/2" valves front universal uvair bags rear firestone bags Here are some pics of the setup: Having a few problems with it so hopefully new switches will sort it. Also on the relay, the wire for the compressor has melted. Im not sure why. Is there anywere i can get some red illuminated switches? Also whats a good digital management system i can get? Everywhere online recommends this pdf as the one to read. But that link is dead so just wondering if anybody had a copy they could upload or send me? Would be much appreciated http://www.easystree...nuals/27741.pdf
jazz5000
Also is there a diy on how to wire switches to the valves? I am going to use three switches, one for front, one for rear and one for both at same time
jazz5000
Fitted all new switches and have them working now Also have a switch in centre for all up ,all down Need some ideas now for a show boot build. Cant think how to do it as there's only one tank and one compressor. So not sure of a layout
ProMaxx316
Check out this place for some installs. Most of the best Bagged VW's are using bagyard http://www.bagyardairride.co.uk/index.shtml or these guys for tips, installs, and stuff. http://www.bagriders.com/modlab/ Good luck with the rest. and lets see more pics. If it's worth building, it's worth over building.
jazz5000
Thanks il take a look. I will get better pictures tomorrow. Im thinking of getting two digital gauges One for tank and for both front and rear bag pressure. I have filled the tank up to 150psi and all bags to 50psi, I will update tomorrow on what the pressure is as there seems to be a small leak somewhere Also do i need a water trap? I also want to put my AA Havoc in the boot but only concern is i wont have easy access then to spare wheel which is where the air setup is. Would i need to access the air setup reguarly? I could possibly fit water trap and run it to the side of boot.
jazz5000
Checked the pressure the next day and both bags were at 0. The tank dropped to 120psi
NYC54
Yes you should get a water trap , get a metal one , the plastic or glass ones will crack in freezing tempeture
jazz5000
Is it ok to run the water trap around a meter out from in between the tank and compressor? I want to put my AA Havoc in but this will take up the whole boot space. Meaning i would have to remove the sub every time i need access to water trap
NYC54
Most people like to have them closet to the tank as possible , try it a meter out I don't think it would be a problem
