My friend used Hot Rod Flatz on his blazer, and it turned out really nice, it is a pre-flattened paint that is ready to spray. The other option I would check into is a regular black paint, with a flat clear. Kustom Shop also makes a flat clear for use over most regular types of paint.

Hope this helps you out.

I will use John Deer Blitz Black on my jetta when its time to paint.

if you have some money to spend, I would reccomend Black suede, trust me its badasss and very expensive.

That john deer protect against washes its not like primer where if you rub it it leaves a streak?

thats waht im realy afraid of like when ppl drive around with black primer you could tell where it got rubbed..

If you are worried about that, then I would recommend a flat clear over a regular black base. There are many companies who make them.

I have seen a couple of john deer pain5ted cars that look like shit, I have also seen somethat look really nice, I think it depends on how good of a painter you are.

the key to a good finish is the prep work.

Very true. the best painters are usually the best sanders as well. I remember someone telling me what they painted that MTX cadillac with, but I can't remember right now.
