What is your box tuned to?

New model type r so they claim to take 1000 rms... Amp is 1 ohm stable, amp doesn't get warm one bit... I have 0/1 gauge wire... What is best way to measure input voltage, cap reads 14.4 and can dip down to 12.2 when subs hit hard

input voltage from the deck on the RCAs to the amp... where did you get the subs. maybe, sadly, they cooked em and thought to get rid of em before they were shot. hope not

Just bought everything brand new from sonic electronix

I'm mean ohm reading is at 1.5 so doesn't seem that they are cooked... They still read the same as the day I opened the box

I have all bass boost on HU turned off... Low at 0 mids at 0 high at 7... Amp settings.... Freq around 45 ...subsonic at 35.... Bass boost 1/2.... Gain 3/4... DMM reading 54 but subs get hot

Bass boost turn it as low as possible

And frequency bring it up a bit more around 70-100

ok, bought new, I didnt mean burnt coil sorry, but ferra fluid bight be burn off, and nothing there to kool em down. impedence is good , but what about phase, could one coil be out of phase

yeh, that could be it, one coil could be out of phase and heating up the sub

make sure if its all in parallel, it all pos, pos, pos, pos and neg, neg, neg, neg.... and not pos, neg, pos , pos or something... could be the problem right there

Maybe my CD player is that crappy to where I'm sending clipped signal from the start... Volume maxes out at 50 and I don't go over 35 but I'm going to pick up Oscope right now and get to the bottom of this
