wow ppl are harsh on this topic. in my personal experince and my friends running one of these is a complete waste of money. i had mine fry on me in a week and my voltage never dropped below 13v and my friends would not come out of protect mode for shit. imo just save up a little and get a higher quality amp

YEah shitty products after you bought the expensive ones. and they do the same thing. meh. You only want to spend so much you can find the best ofr that dollar versus doing something stupid like over spending on low performance. I have two brand new USA-2000's. I got them new for $400 a piece. If he had $200 to spend on an amp, should he buy the Re-Branded american capitalist amp, or get the same thing at a fraction of the cost. Its like buying a car/ i can get a 99 monte carlo for $10,000 at a lot (stupid jesus died upon the bowtie), or get a 2009 BMW at an auction if the opporotunity where to be had.

Tell him to go ahead and get a punch 200.2 same price.

Is this amp true to its power? What can it do at 1ohm? Is it worth the money?

I highly doubt it. It can have an uncontrollable bowel movement in it's little amp pants @ 1 ohm. To me it's not worth the money at all then again I do have expensive tastes in amps and have fairly small pockets. So I understand why you might want to run a little cheap amp but the quality is just not there. You're better off finding a used quality 1Kw amp than messing with audiopipe.

what if the monte carlo goes 750,000 miles and the bmw cant go 5 miles without a part breaking.

well I had one of these running at 1ohm on my AP TXX 15s for almost a year... granted I also had it hooked up terribly as far as the power input was concerned and wound up messing things up... my only real issue with this amp itself though was the fact that it's supposedly running 1800W and even suggests in the manual that comes with it that for that much power you should be running a 0/1g power and ground... but the terminals only fit a 4g (which was where my wireing issue came in) but imo even running it at like 1/4 power most of the time it could thump pretty nicely... and for the little while that I had a pair of Lanzar POSs (Maxx) 15s I had them hooked up to it and had it running at about 3/4 power and it was enough to fry my Lanzars which were supposed to be rated at 1600 RMS each (big lie) in less than 24 hours. (in retrospect that probably would have gone better if I had ran them for more than a few hours to break them in first before cranking the amp and waking the neighborhood... but hey I was excited about my first pair of 15s lol )
