Ok, my father in law picked up a honda odyssey for $100 and it didn't run. I started to check the essentials, spark, fuel, and air. Spark was good, and air cleaner was good, but weren't getting fuel. So I pulled the carb apart and cleaned it all up and she started right up and ran pretty smooth...for about a minute and a half. Now I'm not getting any spark :glare:

So I started checking the electrical, and the guy who had it before us did a hack job on the wiring to the ignition coil, so I cleaned it all up according to a wiring diagram I found online. But still no spark. So I started to check the electrical components. And found something unusual...if the ignition coil is grounded out the way it's supposed to be, I get no current from the stator, but if I take the ignition coil off and and test the stator by itself, it tests fine. Does this mean my ignition coil is bad? If so, can I just get a generic ignition coil to swap it out with?
