Thank you Is this your first time fiber glassing? It's looking really good. Its my first time making any doors. So far in my car i fiberglassed the inside of my box, half assed the kick panels and i just finished up the A-pillars not to long ago. The doors are all new to me. First time even using a router lol. 149.4 Db @ 30Hz Outlaw With One 15" Fi Team Sub, Trunk Build. !!!!!Hair Tricks!!!!!Check Out The Build Log http://www.stevemead...0-4-and-t400-4/Watch The Videos http://www.youtube.com/user/jcplaya3
FeelDaBass
Wow, well you're making it look easy by your pictures! I too haven't used fiber glass at all and would love to use some in a box and do door panels...but I don't even have money for the extra speakers for now. But very nice.May I ask, how are you wiring all of this up? The speakers to which amps..? I ask because I forgot if it was perfectly fine to put 2 different speakers on the same channel of an amp. Well ill just tell you right now its A LOT of wiring. The T1000-4ad i have will run the mid ranges and the component speakers( 6.5's and 5.25's). The T400-4 i have will run the horns in the doors and the tweeters in the A pillars. I have passive crossovers for eveything, All Rockford. 149.4 Db @ 30Hz Outlaw With One 15" Fi Team Sub, Trunk Build. !!!!!Hair Tricks!!!!!Check Out The Build Log http://www.stevemead...0-4-and-t400-4/Watch The Videos http://www.youtube.com/user/jcplaya3
FeelDaBass
Ah, alright. I had it in my mind that it was active, but either way it's a nice build. I hope to one day achieve results this nice. Altima1
yea eventually i will go active but for now im just going passive since just about everything that rockford sells already has passive crossovers. The only crossovers i had to actually buy separate was the mid range crossovers which they just released about 2 months ago. 149.4 Db @ 30Hz Outlaw With One 15" Fi Team Sub, Trunk Build. !!!!!Hair Tricks!!!!!Check Out The Build Log http://www.stevemead...0-4-and-t400-4/Watch The Videos http://www.youtube.com/user/jcplaya3
FeelDaBass
Okay, yeah I have one set of RF components and am using passive...sounds good. But from what I keep reading...I'll probably end up trying active sometime too, since I just purchased the Pioneer 80prs head unit which supports active. I didn't know about the mid range passive crossovers though. Do they come with the mid range speakers now or something? Altima1
Well i put in some more work this weekend and got a good amount of stuff off my check list........ Started with the dash. The Eq has mounting holes already but i couldnt use the brackets. so i mounted it to the sides of the dash kit and used spacers to get it secure You cant really see but i used epoxy to glue the dash kit side pieces together since they were only held in place buy some small tabs I had to take apart the entire center councel because one of the screws for holdng the head unit in fell in where the emergency brake is After that i moved on to the set up in the back for the crossovers for the doors......i took out the line driver since the one up front in the dash replaced it. The 4 crossovers in the center are for the 6.5 and 5.25 components and the crossovers on the sides are for the mids. 149.4 Db @ 30Hz Outlaw With One 15" Fi Team Sub, Trunk Build. !!!!!Hair Tricks!!!!!Check Out The Build Log http://www.stevemead...0-4-and-t400-4/Watch The Videos http://www.youtube.com/user/jcplaya3
