Fosgate31 Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 So I have a FI BL 12 in 1500 rms watt sub powered off a fosgate t-1500. I have 4 crescendo speakers powered off a 1250 watt 4 channel amplifier as well. With everything hooked up I completely drain my car battery (bosch battery) with my car OFF. I have to have it jumped to get my car started. Why is this happening?

alaskanzx5 Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 because the car is off and you are using the stereo so there is nothing to charging the battery but the battery is being drained by the stereo. im hoping your not realy playing the stereo with the car off asking why they battery is draining. if you not actualy using anything that is putting a load on the battery then check all your wiring. not just the stereo wiring either all of it. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

Guest Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 check the remote wire for the amp. that wire is what tells it to turn off or on. x2. make sure you hooked up the remote wire to the amp turn on lead thats on the headunit harness. also, make sure there is not a single strand of wire poking out from the power/ground/remote connections on both amps. even if a single strand of power wire touches the remote wire, the amp will likely stay on.
Fosgate31 Posted January 8, 2013 Author Report Posted January 8, 2013 Ok bc with my remote wires, i have the blue one from my HU connected to my mono block amp, and then I inserted another remote wire into the remote input on the mono block and hooked the same wire to my remote input on my 4 channel. Would you recommend this way?
