white_boi_audio Posted January 31, 2008 Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 Hey guys I have a Kicker L5 solobaric 12 and I know that the voice coil is either blown or like coming unwound. I can hook it up and it will play but it sounds like do do LOL. I was wondering if anyone knew of place that could recone besides kicker because they don't do it anymore. I have a speaker repair and recone place around my house that I am going to call tomorrow and see if they can do anything. Ive already called kicker they would send me a new subwoofer for a cheapeir price than new if i send my messed up one in. I just want to see if a custom place could recone it even if it didn't have the kicker logo on it. What you mean maybe shop can hook it up? I just want it fixed i don't care if it has the kicker labels on it or whatnot.
