JesseyMclame Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 So I just installed a hifonics glx1400.1, a kinetik hc600 and two cvr 10s, all 4 gauge, in my buddy's car. His headlights dim. Why? I was told that kinetik would stop that problem. He has a 2 farad cap, but I took that out because everyone has told me battery > cap. Anyone have any ideas why this would be happening ? Big 3 isn't done. Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs. Amps - (4) Crossfire C5 1700D's, MTX Thunder 5604(mids), PPI Art 300.2 (tweets) Batts - 4 91ah rear batts, 50ah batt up front. Subs - 2 Crossfire XSv2 18's Alt - Singer 330A Front stage - Random JL & Eclipse mids, Eclipse tweets
Tim Lam Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 just do the big 3. it'll make a significant difference. what kind of wire do you have hooking up your batteries? i have a diehard platinum under the hood, a kinetik 1800 in the trunk, big 3 in 0awg and 0awg copper for my batteries and amps. in 2000rms i get no dimming. beef up wiring in all aspects and that may helps as well.
