bkolfo4 Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Anyone who tells you how much port area you need based on the info you provided is doing nothing more than giving you an estimated guess. You may have a 12" MCM Select with 3mm of excursion, or you may be putting a RE XXX 12 in there. Makes a BIG difference in how much port area you need. With a driver displacement of .3 cuft, I would assume something decent is going in there. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
