I figured @ 125 volts. My outlets here give 118 to 119 voltd. houses are from like 110 to 125 depending on your location. I guess the only way to know for sure is if someone was to clamp the outlet and put a multimeter on it too while the sub was hooked up.

ohms law. so voltage/resistance = current.

lets say we have 120 volts. 120/2 ohms (d1 in series) = 60 amp. the breaker would blow. thats not gunna happen.

in theory if the breaker didnt blow they had some crazy wiring that would be 7200 watts. Power= volts x amps. this isnt the case. that sub would not last 26 min on 7200 rms.

so i like strange ducks theory.

lets say it had a lot of rise if it was actually a D1. so maybe 5 ohms maybe 60 at 60hz? idk but lets use thzat for calculations.

120/5 = 24 which is over the absolute max for most wall sockets. that would mean P = 120 x 24 = 2880 more reasonable.

120/6 = 20 absolute max. P = 120 x 20 = 2400. more reasonable.

my bet would be around 2400 watts clipped though or something ahha and blown surround still not too bad.

Yea I agree, at 60 hz im sure there was plenty of rise. so we can definitely say it had at least 2400w.

This is the best, DD9515 VS 230v socket

when I wall socketed my DC XL I wired to .5ohm lol. the breaker didn't pop but the speaker jumped all over the place and died in seconds.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
