I like you using the radiator, they're not seen that much.Thnx...But He had it when he came to me so I get no "credit" for choosing equipment on this one.I just have the task of fitting it in there, making it pretty, and sound good. (har har) Adding some pulled apart chop mat to the bottom b4 I attatched the mdf base piece Add resin and tap out bubbles till your brain starts to come out ur ears. (white stuff still VISIBLE?=BAAAAD) Tap tap tap.... all gone. Mdf base in and started glassing the corners in. I know some air is trapped in the lil "nook" outside the edge of the mdf since it's not a perfect copy of the inside of the glassed part but it will be pleeenty strong. Coutersink for the screws so they are in flush...careful not to overtighten and crack the glass...no washer used here-I've done it like this b4 so no worries. Few more divits for screw heads... The toolio I use to make the divits/countersinks Here's where that BIG hole was...now it has a piece of mdf to glass to and I taped it from the inside and will just glass over the tape, pull the tape when it's dry, and glass it THOROUGHLY from the inside. So I chopped the bottom off that lil arc I had made and grafted it onto the bgger tape/carboard version to form a lil double bump pocket... Had to remove the bottom of Pocket V 2.0 New and improved Flipped over and ready to start glassin er up form the inside. (YES I'M WELL AWARE IN THIS PIC IT IS/LOOKS LIKE JUST RESIN ON THE TOP BUT I GLASSED OVER IT THOROUGHLY!....cuz I know Timmay would try to "BUST ME OUT" on that kinda ish!) About 1/8"-1/4" inch "wiggle room" in there once the tape and cardboard was out....I guess I didnt get any pix of it but I glassed the shit outta this pocket from the outside/top just like on the inside so It's nice n sturdy and it filled in that lil 1/8"-1/4" space inside the pocket so the walls are "flush" again. Checking the airspace finally...........1.33cft NET. I was shooting for 1.0cft net, but this is close enough. The packing peanuts are STILL inside in this next pic to account for displacement. You can kinda see the glass inside the top of the pocket on the inner walls. Adding trim rings. YES.....I knew they would overlap like this... They go under the knife tomorrow...then the glass/filler comes out. This here is a template.....I might end up doing sompin "way cool" w/ it....or not If I run out of ambition/time/patience to hear this thing.
