I just got a pair of MB Quart QM 160 woofers and some MB Quart tweeters, unfortunantly no x- overs. i have a kenwood 4 channel amp running my mids and highs so i figured i would run my 5.5LF woofers and my MB Quart woofers on channels 1 and 2 and then run the the MB Quart tweeters and my Boston Pro tweeters on the 3 and 4 channels. I only have one set of passive ( after the amp) x-overs, will it be ok if i run the tweeter outputs of the x-overs at 8ohm? should i wire it to 2 ohm? what effect will that have on final load the amp sees from the x-overs? for clarity i wont be hooking up the woofers to the x-over just the 4 tweeters. I will be getting an active x-over in the near future just need to be able to keep my stereo running until then.

Just a question. Why are you mixing and matching tweeters?

Are they the same ohm?

Do they both do the same rated?

both are 4 ohm and the power range for mb quarts are 60-130 and the bostons are 60-400 shouldnt be an issue of over powering them im more worried about what ohm load is to x-over and what final load is to amp.... dont have the car handy to hook up multimeter and see they also have very close hp freqs also
